So you've got to find an original monologue for an audition or a workshop. Don't just find any monologue. Don't just use one that's "out there." Those are the few that occur naturally in TV and Film. Those are the ones that get put on monologue websites and in monologue books. Those are the ones that get done to death.

Remember: Agents and managers and casting directors audition actors all day, everyday. So they're seeing those monologues all day, everyday. Give 'em a break. Don't settle for the best one for you that's "out there." Show them something they've never seen before, while performing something that's perfect for you!

Your Monologue Dog, Sharif, has been helping actors find the perfect material to use for their all-important showcase auditions for over 20 years, while explaining the expectations and demands on actors in the entertainment industry. Countless actors have signed with their agents, excelled at TV and film auditions, and won Monologue acting competitions nationally and internationally, with Sharif's guidance.

If you are trying to get signed, excel in your workshops, or nail an audition, you're in the right place. And it doesn't matter where in the world you are - thanks to Skype and FaceTime, we can work together from anywhere. Let your Monologue Dog help you find the material that's in your wheelhouse and shows you off, then help you own it.

About

There is A New Sharif in Town

I'm not an acting "teacher." I'll take what you know and help you share it. We all already know how to act - we've been doing it since we were little. Any time you faked out a parent or teacher, any time you argued with a referee over a foul you know you committed, any time you talked your way out of ticket, any time you embellished a story, any time you entertained a baby or child - you were using your emotions and entertainment ability - your gift - to persuade or convince or change someone's view. I'll lead to to your water...all you have to do is drink.

My name is Terri Little Gardenhigh, mother of Terrence LittleGardenhigh. We met Sharif at Seattle Talent. He was brought in to help the people that were going to participate in a showcase called IMTA. It was a big deal and I was excited and nervous about what was expected of my son, but Sharif stepped right in and helped each actor with a monologue that was catered to who they were as an individual. It was amazing to see him spending time with so many actors in one workshop, but still remember small details that made each monologue perfect for them. This helped to make my child comfortable and made the process fun. He has a personal touch that is priceless in this industry. He also accompanied us to the IMTA showcase and was there every step of the way giving the children confidence and going over lines to help give that extra boost of confidence just before the competition no matter how long it took.

Needless to say, my son won a medal in every category he entered with the help of Sharif and his tireless effort. We moved to LA to pursue my sons’ career because he did so amazing at the convention, and Sharif is still the go to man when it comes to needing help on big audition and call backs. My son and I are forever grateful to him for going out of his way to help because this is more than just a job for him it’s a passion. I believe without a doubt that this is Sharif’s calling. This is who he is.

Thank you sooooo much Sharif for treating us like family and giving my son tools that will last him a life time in the industry.

Peace and love!!!!
